Christian Movie Connect Episode 83 - Larry Gatlin



Grammy and Academy of Country Music Award-winning singer-songwriter, Larry Gatlin, is best known as part of the legendary country music group, The Gatlin Brothers, along with brothers Steve and Rudy. By age seven, Larry and his brothers began singing at family and church events. Eventually, Larry’s career brought him to Nashville, the capitol of country music, where he worked with such artists as Dottie West, Kris Kristofferson, Elvis Presley, Barry Gibb of The Bee Gees and more. Larry’s music has been featured in such films and as “Next of Kin”, “Stroker Ace” and “Gospel Road: A Story of Jesus”. Since 2010, he has contributed to Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network as a political and social commentator. In his latest project, Larry appeared in the film, “Inspiration Pop 2929” which premiered in Nashville in the spring of 2013.
In this interview, Gatlin talks with CMC host,Cheryl Ariaz Wicker, about how he became part of the film and what attracted him to the role.
“Inspiration Pop 2929” is a family film with a musical heart set in a fictional Southern town that follows a diverse cast of characters as they struggle to overcome hardship and in doing so find fulfillment in unexpected ways.
